What's hood wit it? This is Do-Well, doin it soooo well back with the review of T.I.'s mixtape The Leak. I must admit I was impressed with this effort by T.I. After his last album Trap Music enjoyed platinum success, The Leak is another platinum worthy release by the self proclaimed "King of The South". I was a little disappointed that this mixtape did not include the hottest song on the market right now "What U Know" (Mr. Backpacks, make that switch on the latest audio listings. Put T.I. #1!), But no need to be alarmed, T.I. makes up for it well (Do-Well!).

T.I. has been eatin' well (Do-Well) this past year. He even mustered up a Grammy nomination this past February. He has a new album due out this April entitled King, very creative I might add, and he has a movie coming out this month called A.T.L. - his hometown.

I love rappers who have actually done what they are spittin' about. T.I. actually was indicted on drug charges and had to go to prison for a short while a couple of years ago. Track 2 "Drug Related" gives somewhat of an account of how that went down. Track 3 "Front, Back, Side To Side" , which is produced by Manny Fresh, is abosolutely fire. It features Bun B and it is supposed to be on his upcoming album.

My favorite track is # 4 "U Ain't Fly". The beat is fire and T.I. blesses it with his swagger. Track 9 "We Pimpin" is my new anthem. The hook, beat, an lyrics are all tight as a virgin. "Ride Wit Me" is another hot joint that would be a single. T.I. surprised me on track 20 when he was just spittin with no hook. It was jive hot!

P.S.C., T.I.'s click, is on this mixtape and it kind of deflates the quality of the music. One thing I hate is a bunch of niggas on a track just talking nonsense. P.S.C. is aight, But it's a case of "One hot nigga syndrome", and T.I. is the hot one.

Overall T.I. did what he does best, make hits and great hooks. My rating is a 3.5. If "What U Know" was on hear it would be a 4, but since it ain't, it is what it is. T.I. has got plenty of star quality and I agree he is the "King of the South". It's Do-Well. Im gone...
