"I'm turning Bernie Mack for all yall sommamabitches"

shyea....ok so they back. Before i begin this review, I had heard some rumors that this album was or will be or is in the process of getting taken off of the shelves because of the almighty rulers of hardcore (M.O.P) moving over to G Unit. But in any case, i got it in my hands and its getting reviewed. By now anyone watching Tv's Ultimate Hustler has seen M.O.P on the show and how wild they are in the studio, shows and all day everyday.

So lets look back to when i first thought M.O.P was the sheit. I dont remember the year, and I dont feel like doing that research, but I remember getting the "How about some Hardcore" single with "Blue Steel" as the B-Side (Select Records, just in case yall think im frontin...ha) and thinking holy crap, this sheit is making me feel like i need to knock somebody out! well listening to this album and prior albums, that feeling has never left.

People say alot about M.O.P, but I havent heard anyone say that they have ever gone soft or falter when it comes to them straight fire lyrics.

Lets forward now to 2005 and M.O.P's newest release "St. Marxmen". and the third track, the "Big Boy Game" explains it right off the bat with the intro setting off the mood:

"Make you wanna punch a nigga in his motherf*ckin mouth"

"Don't ask me what the beef is
I got love for both sides
so a nigga rock missmatched sneakers.

One foot s.Dots the other foot pro keds
a rock box with armadale to the head"

- Lil Fame (Big Boy Game)

As i flow through the album, it seems this album is a little more introspective than the prior albums. Its different, but hot. It seems like they are really trying to take their music to a totally new level (obviously still keeping it hardcore)

I am also feeling the production on this album as well. you know the hiphop icon D.R. Period (which I had the honor of meeting a couple of years ago -- shout out to my man Tic) always comes correct.

well you know everyone has a favorite track when they hear an album...and not to sound like everybody probably thinks, but i got 2....the first one is the "put it in the air". Jay Z and MOP are always animals when they on the same track...its another 4 alarm blaze, and i dont mean that literally. its just straight fire. The second joint is the HipHop Cops...Wyclef on the track and M.O.P. rocking they verses is just crazy...there is such a wild vibe on that song that makes you listen to it over and over again.
